O'Toole Produce is an established Australian company specialising in wholesale and the procurement of Fruit and Vegetables to specified orders.
The business, having traded since 1922, is recognised within the wholesale fruit and vegetable industry as a stable and reliable business. Eighty years of trading has seen the business operate through many cycles and fluctuating market conditions. The business has developed many specialised systems, strategies, and procedures to ensure continued growth.
O'Toole Produce is an accredited Queensland fruit and vegetable wholesale merchant. The company conforms to the Code of Practice implemented by Brismark with the support of Queensland Fruit and Vegetable Growers and the Queensland Department of Primary Industries. The Code of Practice sets out standards for documentation, terms of trade, quality assurance, food safety certification, disposal of unsaleable produce, communication, and dispute resolution process.
Paul T. O'Toole is managing director of H O'Toole & Co Pty Ltd trading as O'Toole Produce. Paul, a qualified accountant (CPA), has more than 30 years experience in marketing onions. Paul's trading skills have been passed on from his father (Kevin) and grandfather (Hugh). Paul has had growing and farming experience and continues to hold farm land.
Bernice O'Toole (B.A Dip. Ed.) is the Finance and Administrative Director with over 20 years of experience within the Fruit and Vegetable Industry.
Ray Jensen is the Brisbane Market Sales Manager. He has had more than 35 years of experience in successfully marketing fruit and vegetables at both the retail and wholesale markets.
Rod Bellamy is the Fruit & Vegetable Specialist whose expertise covers large scale supermarket and country order distribution.
Nathan Carniel is the International, National Sales and Quality Assurance Manager. He has years of experience within the horticulture industry from primary production right through to retail. He has a B. App. Sci. in Environmental Horticulture and has conducted research with the QLD Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries. past engagements include Pre-Export / Import Inspections and Outturns, Brisbane Produce Market daily Fruit and Vegetable Price Reporting, Queensland Dept. Primary Industry Inspector for Interstate Quarantine.
Aaron Shanahan is Queensland Country Sales Manager who has obtained his B.Sci. majoring in Agricultural/ Environmental Science. Previous experiences involve small crop production and research assistance with the QLD Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries.
